Green Schools Committee visit water treatment plant!
This year we are working on the theme of ‘water’. Today we visited ‘Srowland’ water treatment plant in Athy.
4th class go shopping (kind of!!)
This week, in 4th class maths, we were working with money. We even went on an imaginary shopping spree to Ken Blacks!
‘Painting with Scissors’!
Today 4th Class were learning about the French artist ‘Henri Matisse’. In his old age Matisse was confined to a wheelchair and could no longer paint. He started to make pictures from paper cut outs. He called this technique ‘painting with scissors’! We created our own art using this technique.
- Â We didn’t use any pencils or other drawing materials.
